Primary Duties: Load beams and equipment
onto trailers for each specific project as outlined by the Moving
Crew Foreman. Designate duties to Moving Crew members in absence of
Moving Crew Foreman. Inspect the moving route. Build cribs and steer
the dollies if applicable. Operate jacking equipment, crawler, backhoe
and skid loader. Reports to Moving Crew Foreman.
Other Duties: Inspect trucks and trailers to meet DOT standards.
Perform mechanical service on vehicles. Fulfill job requirements of
Shop Assistant I, Machinist I
In addition to the above, the duties of this position include such
other responsibilities and tasks as are traditionally associated with
this position, or that may be assigned to this position.
Compensation and Benefits: Hourly wage depends upon experience.
Single coverage health insurance. Retirement savings program with
3% employer match and completely vested after 6 months employment.
Work clothes.
Work Schedule: This is an hourly position. The work week
is stated as a 40 hour work week, with overtime compensation as stated
in the Employee Policy Handbook. Overtime work will be necessary at
times. This position is Full Time.
Skills or Abilities Required: Capable of lifting 70lb. Ability
to run a crawler, backhoe, skid loader, fork lift and other construction
equipment. Ability to weld mild steel in horizontal and vertical positions.
Operate semi-tractor trailer and other trucks.
Experience Required: 5 years experience
in the moving industry
Training or Education Required: High School Diploma/Equivalent
or shows acceptable level of knowledge in field.
Certification or License Required: CDL license required.
